ADAPTER

Adapters are available for a deposit of KSH 500 at the cashier.

AIR CONDITION

To activate the air condition, insert the key holder into the switch. If you wish to higher or lower the temperature, please use the remote control. During a power outage, the Air Condition might not be working.

ALL INCLUSIVE DRINKS

The following drinks are served by glass at the bars: Cola, Fanta, Bitter Lemon, Sprite, fruit juices, water, soda water, local beer, selected local spirits, different cocktails and house wines. At any given time, not more than two glasses are served to one guest.

ANIMATION/SPORTS

The Animation Team offers daily activities for adults and children that are noted on the board close to the pool bar. The team is very flexible. Please let them know if there are any games/sports you would like to play again or in addition. Children are always welcome and the animation team is happy to play with them while you spend some alone time.

BEACH TOWELS

You should have received a pool towel in your room. Pool towels can be changed at the pool attendant next to the Animation Center.

BOOKS AND MAGAZINES

You will find books and magazines in the main building.

CASHIER

Opening hours are from 8.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00 hours.

CATS

We have a number of cats on the hotel compound. These animals are very important for critter control. The cats are fed twice daily. Please do not feed these cats, especially in the dining room.

HOUSEKEEPING

The room steward will clean your room daily. If you do not want to be disturbed, put the sign with the red mark on your door. The green mark signals that the room can be cleaned. During dinner, the room steward will complete turn down service.

DAY TIME ACTIVITIES

Daily activities by our entertainment team are displayed in the pool area. The Entertainment team is available at the animation centre and will gladly accept requests outside of the planned activities. A book featuring the activities of our local partners is available at the animations centre and the reception. The reception will call our local partners for you free of charge to arrange the activities.

DIVING

The diving school is an outside vendor and is located at the right of the compound near the pool restaurant. They offer diving trials, instruction and free water dives.

DRESS CODE

During lunch in the restaurant, we ask you not to wear a swimming attire. Please wear shorts and a shirt or T-shirt. Kindly be informed that during dinner in the restaurant, gentlemen are required to wear ¾ long trousers, a shirt and shoes.

ENVIRONMENT

Please help us conserve water. If you would like your towels washed, kindly leave the towels in the shower.

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

The daily evening program are posted at the reception and by the pool bar.

GOLF

The 18 holes Leisure Golf course is only 3 km away. Our reception will gladly book T-off times and arrange transportation. Do ask for reduced green fees as well.

DOCTOR /MEDICAL ISSUES

The reception will call a car to have you taken to the hospital. There is also a doctor on call. Please inform the reception and they will assist you.

GUEST COMMENTS

If you have any issues or suggestions that we can address immediately, please let the reception or our managers know. We also welcome any suggestions and feedback through our survey,  “Contact us” button on our website, or holiday review internet sites.

LAUNDRY

For a small fee, your laundry can be washed and ironed. Please place the laundry you want to be washed on top of the filled laundry list in your room in the morning. The room steward will pick up the list and laundry. Your laundry will be delivered the next morning.

LUNCH BOX

If you require a lunch box for travel or other reasons, please order the previous day by 18.00 hours at the reception.

MASSAGE

Bookings and payments for massage are taken at reception.

MEALS

Breakfast: 07.30 – 10.00 hours (For earlier breakfast please book at reception by 18.00 hours the day before)

Lunch:  12.30 to 14.00 hours

Afternoon tea: 16.00 to 17.00 hours

Dinner:  19.30 to 21.00 hours

MONKEYS

Four different kinds of monkeys live around Diani. The monkeys come to the hotel compound as well. Monkeys are wild animals. If they are fed their natural behaviour changes and they become dangerous.

Please do not feed the monkeys! Please do not walk around with food as they will try to grab it out of your hand.

POOL

The swimming pool is open from 7.00 am to 18.30 hours. After this time the pool water is treated and swimming is not allowed.

POOL BAR 

The pool bar is open from 11.00 to 24.00 hours.

POOL BEDS

Pool beds and mattresses can be obtained free of charge from the pool attendant. (close to the pool bar).  Please feel free to move the beds around during the day.

POWER OUTAGE

Power supply in Kenya is not stable. We have several back-up generators. Our maintenance team does the best to switch over to the back-up supply quickly. We appreciate your patience.

RECEPTION

There is a 24 hours reception service. If you have questions or special wishes, please call extension 800

ROOM KEY

Always lock your room and balcony door when you are not in your room and deposit the key at the reception. There is a lost key charge of EUR75.

SMOKING

There is a very strict smoking ban in Kenya since July 2008. It is not allowed to smoke in restaurants and bars. On the terraces, smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas.

SAFARI

A safari is a must during a Kenya visit. Your tour leader will help with planning and bookings. Bookings with beach boys are not recommended.

TIDES

You find the tide table at reception. Please monitor the times for high and low tide.

TOPLESS

Please be advised that TOPLESS is not allowed in Kenya. Please be respectful of this local culture.

TOUR LEADER’S VISITS

Tour leader visiting times are shown on the boards at the tour leader room opposite reception.

UPGRADE TO BAHARI ROOM

The rooms closest to the beach are our Bahari rooms. They have fridge, tea and coffee making facilities as well as partial sea view. Ask reception to be shown one of these rooms. The fee for an upgrade is only 2500 KES per day and room.
 

SNACKBAR

Open from 11.00 to 16.00 hours, next to the pool.

TENNIS

The Tennis court are inclusive for our hotel guests. (1 hour per guest / day). The same applies for table tennis, billiards and crazy golf.

WATER FLASKS 

The flask in the room contains the same mineral water we serve in the bars. You can refill the flask at the bars.

TIPS

At the reception is a box for tips. The money collected is distributed equally to all staff.

WATER

Fresh water is very scarce in Kenya. The tap water is not drinkable. Please use the water from the flask for teeth brushing and drinking. The flasks can be refilled at the bars during the opening hours.
